Artist's Description
This is one of three paintings I created for an exhibit titled, "Choreography of Cranes". The background is done with 8 different shades of metallic paint.(Yes I love Klimt.) Depicted are a pair of endangered Whooping Cranes engaged in a courtship dance. Whooping Cranes are the tallest birds in North America (5 feet tall.)

I am a former veterinarian, now full time painter. I love experimenting with new media and techniques. Not surprisingly, I paint a lot of animals! But the botanical world is also a constant source of inspiration as well!
